Mikaela Gallagher is the Creative Director and Founder of Ukiyo Salon & Co., based in Wānaka, New Zealand. An internationally recognised hairdresser, Mikaela is known for her elevated, fashion-driven approach to hair and her ability to merge technical excellence with artistic vision.

Before Ukiyo, Jaime founded and grew the multi-award-winning salon Zaibatsu Hair Art in Dunedin. She continued to keep it at the forefront of the industry for well over 20 years producing numerous national and award-winning international stylists. The salon won several business awards including Employer of Choice and other marketing
awards.

Nicole comes with a wealth of knowledge and specialises in colouring and cutting. Her years as a senior stylist has seen her win multiple industry awards, and have her work showcased on multi-media platforms.

Georginas industry experience as a colourist has spanned over fifteen years; her passion is firmly geared towards producing stunning colour work while ensuring that every one of her clients leaves the salon feeling amazing.

Balayage is one of her favourite techniques, and she takes pleasure in collaborating with clients to help them attain their desired hair looks

What sets Kelsey apart is her creative instinct—she thrives when given the freedom to bring fresh ideas to life. Hairdressing allows her to blend artistry with connection, and she's loving every minute of the journey.

Jazz has an infectious energy that lights up the salon. Her laugh is contagious, her head massages are legendary (seriously, you'll be asleep in minutes), and her blow waves are world class.

Jade is the friendly face you'll see when you walk through the doors at Ukiyo. As our receptionist, she's here to make sure your experience is seamless from the moment you arrive.

Mya is passionate about all things hair and beauty, and loves being part of creating transformations. You'll often find her assisting with treatments, keeping things running smoothly, and soaking up every bit of knowledge she can.
