Questions we get asked +
What order do I use Wella Ultimate Repair in?
Shampoo first, then Deep Conditioner or the Mask, rinsed out. On towel-dried hair, apply Miracle Hair Rescue as your leave-in, before styling. Wella's Night Serum goes on dry hair before bed. You don't need every step; shampoo, conditioner and Miracle Hair Rescue is the core routine we'd start with.
What does Miracle Hair Rescue do?
It's the leave-in treatment in the range. Spray it on towel-dried hair after washing, comb through and style as normal. Wella positions it as the key repair step in the routine, and it's the one we'd keep if you only buy one product. The 30ml size is a good way to try it.
How do I use the Ultimate Repair Night Serum?
Apply a small amount to dry hair before bed, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends. Leave it on overnight. There's no need to rinse it out the next morning. Wella designed it to work while you sleep, so it suits people who wash every few days and want their hair cared for in between.
Is Ultimate Repair good for bleached hair?
Yes. It's built for damaged hair, and bleach is one of the main causes. Use the Mask once or twice a week in place of the conditioner and Miracle Hair Rescue every wash. For heavily lightened hair, also see our bond-building treatments guide for what we do in the salon.
Wella Ultimate Repair or Wella Fusion?
Fusion is a simpler three-piece routine (shampoo, conditioner and mask) aimed at strengthening hair against breakage. Ultimate Repair adds leave-in and overnight steps, so it suits hair that needs more help between washes. If your hair is damaged but not breaking, Fusion may be enough. Our Ultimate Repair review goes through what we've seen in the salon.
