Online via our Kitomba booking system at apps.kitomba.com/bookings/ukiyosalon, by emailing office@ukiyo.co.nz, or by giving the salon a call.
Yes. We require a 25% deposit at the time of booking to confirm your appointment. This is credited toward your final bill.
We require 24 hours notice for any change or cancellation. Cancellations within 24 hours are charged 50% of the service. No-shows are charged 100%.
Yes, with at least 24 hours notice. Contact us as soon as possible if your plans change.
Consultations & Colour
Colour work is tailored. Here's how we prepare for your appointment and what to expect on pricing and product.
Yes — a complimentary 15-minute consultation is required for all new colour clients and any first-time balayage, blonde or lightening service.
Our prices reflect a starting point. Final pricing depends on your hair length, density, condition and how much product is required. Your stylist will confirm the price at consultation.

Yes, please do. Photos help us understand your goals — though final results depend on your starting hair, condition and history.

Yes — public parking is available on Helwick Street and surrounding streets. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early.
Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm. Closed Sunday and Monday.
We are appointment-based to give every client our full attention. We recommend booking ahead — last-minute spots occasionally come up via Kitomba.
Aftercare & Retail
Keeping your colour looking its best between appointments, and where to find the products we use.
We recommend a colour-safe shampoo and conditioner system, regular bond-strengthening treatments, and a UV protect spray during summer months. Your stylist will recommend the right products at your appointment.
Yes — we stock the full range of Kerastase, Wella, Redken, GHD and EVO retail in salon and online.
For colour clients, every 6–8 weeks for root maintenance. For cuts, every 6–10 weeks depending on your style. Your stylist will recommend a schedule at your appointment.
