How wedding hair works at UKIYO
Two routes: trial in our salon a few weeks before, then either bridal party comes to us, or we travel to your venue for the morning prep. We bring everything — extensions, pins, finish products — so the only thing you're thinking about on the day is each other.
What's typically booked
Most brides book themselves + 2–4 of the wedding party. Lead times are 4–6 months in peak season (Nov–April). Smaller weddings out-of-season we can sometimes accommodate at 6 weeks' notice but don't bank on it.
Pricing
Bridal hair from $280. Bridal party hair from $120 each. Travel fee for venues outside Wānaka township — quoted on consultation, transparent. Lakeside venues (Rippon, Edgewater, Wai Iti) are typically $100–150 for travel.

How far in advance should I book wedding hair?
Peak season (November to April), 4–6 months ahead. Off-peak, sometimes 6 weeks works. The trial usually happens 4–6 weeks before the wedding date.
Do you travel to wedding venues outside Wānaka?
Yes — Rippon, Cardrona Lodge, Edgewater, lakeside private venues, even Cromwell. Travel fee transparent on quote. Queenstown for the right wedding.
Can you do hair extensions for the day?
Yes. We stock clip-in extensions and can apply / blend on the morning. If you're using your own, we'll work with what you have.
