Curl Manifesto is the Kérastase range for waves, curls and coils. It's built around moisture and definition without crunch, and the shampoo is sulphate-free, so it cleans without leaving curls dry and frizzy.

Which Curl Manifesto product, and how we use it +

Wash with Bain Hydratation Douceur, focusing on the scalp, then use Fondant Hydratation Essentielle through the lengths and detangle with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb while it's in. Once a week, or more often for tight coils, swap the conditioner for the Masque Beurre Haute Nutrition.

Crème de Jour Fondamentale is the leave-in. Rake it through soaking wet hair, scrunch and let it air-dry or diffuse. On the second or third day, Refresh Absolu revives flattened curls without a full wash. Looser waves usually need less product than tight curls. What's in the Kérastase Curl Manifesto range?
There are five pieces: Bain Hydratation Douceur (a sulphate-free shampoo), Fondant Hydratation Essentielle (conditioner), Masque Beurre Haute Nutrition (the weekly mask), Crème de Jour Fondamentale (leave-in cream) and Refresh Absolu (a spray for second and third-day curls). Most people start with the shampoo, conditioner and leave-in, then add the mask once they know how their curls respond.

How do I use Crème de Jour Fondamentale?
Put it on soaking wet hair straight after conditioning, before you towel off. Rake it through in sections, then scrunch upwards to encourage the curl pattern. Let it air-dry or use a diffuser on low heat, and avoid touching it until it's fully dry. Loose waves need much less than tight curls or coils, so start with a small amount.

Is Curl Manifesto good for wavy hair, or just tight curls?
It works across waves, curls and coils, but wavy hair is easier to weigh down. With waves, use the shampoo and conditioner, a small amount of the Crème de Jour, and save the Masque for once a week or less. Tighter curls and coils can use more of everything. How do I refresh curls without washing?
Mist Refresh Absolu over dry curls, focusing on flattened or frizzy sections, then scrunch gently or twist individual curls back into shape. Let it dry before you touch it again. It saves a full wash on day two or three. If your roots are oily by then, it's time to wash rather than keep refreshing.

Why is a sulphate-free shampoo better for curls?
Curly hair tends to be drier than straight hair, and stronger cleansers can leave it rough and frizzy. Bain Hydratation Douceur is sulphate-free, so it cleans the scalp more gently and leaves the lengths softer. Focus it on the scalp and let the rinse take care of the ends.
