Where our Kérastase comes from

Kérastase is a L'Oréal brand, and we buy it direct from L'Oréal New Zealand on our own salon trade account. No wholesaler in the middle and no parallel imports, so what we send you is New Zealand stock, stored properly and in date.

Genesis or Densifique?

These are the two Kérastase ranges people mix up most, and they do different jobs.

• Genesis is for weakened hair that's prone to falling due to breakage: more in the brush, more in the shower drain. The Sérum Anti-Chute Fortifiant goes on the scalp every day and does most of the work, and Bain Hydra-Fortifiant suits fine hair or a scalp that gets oily.
• Densifique is for hair that isn't really falling out but has gone finer and flatter over time. Bain Densité uses hyaluronic acid to give lengths a fuller feel from the first wash.

Choosing the rest of your Kérastase by concern

• Dryness: Nutritive. Bain Satin for normal-to-dry hair, Bain Satin Riche if it's thick and very dry.
• Damage: Première, for hair that's been coloured, lightened or heat-styled hard.
