Elixir Ultime L'Huile Originale is Kérastase's original hair oil, and still the one most people mean when they ask for a Kérastase oil. It adds shine and softness, and takes the edge off frizz, on pretty much any hair type.
How we use Elixir Ultime in the salon +
We use it two ways. On towel-dried hair, a pump or two through the mid-lengths and ends before blow-drying makes brushing easier and the finish smoother. On dry hair, a drop rubbed between your palms and smoothed over the ends tames flyaways and adds shine. Fine hair needs less than you'd think, so start small and keep it away from the roots. Thick or coarse hair can take more.

How do I use Kérastase Elixir Ultime oil?
Warm a few drops in your palms and smooth through damp lengths before blow-drying, or over dry hair to finish. Keep it to mid-lengths and ends, and start with less on fine hair.
Is Elixir Ultime good for every hair type?
Kérastase describes L'Huile Originale as suitable for all hair types. Fine hair needs only a drop or two; thick or frizzy hair can take more.
