It's a simple three-step routine. Hydre Hydrating Shampoo cleans gently without stripping. Follow with the Intensely Hydrating Conditioner through the mid-lengths and ends every wash.

Once or twice a week, swap the conditioner for the Intensely Hydrating Treatment Mask and leave it in for a few minutes before rinsing; it's the step very dry hair notices most. If your hair is damaged as well as dry, Penetraitt or NO.BREAKER may suit better. Finish with a leave-in such as Potion 9 if you need extra softness. Our Hydre guide explains who Hydre is for. Should I use the Hydre shampoo and conditioner together?
Yes, they're designed to work as a pair. The shampoo cleans without leaving dry hair squeaky, and the conditioner puts the moisture back through the lengths. Using the shampoo with a different conditioner works, but you lose some of the benefit. Most of our clients who buy Hydre buy both, then add the mask once their hair has settled into the routine.

Is Sebastian Hydre suitable for fine hair?
It can be, if your fine hair is dry rather than flat. Use the shampoo as normal, keep the conditioner to the ends, and rinse it well. Use the mask only once a week. If your main concern is fine hair that goes flat, Sebastian Volupt is the better range.

How long should I leave the Hydre Treatment Mask on?
A few minutes is enough on most hair. For very dry lengths, leave it on for five to ten while you do the rest of your shower routine. Apply it to towel-dried hair rather than soaking wet, so it isn't diluted, and comb it through. Rinse until the water runs clear so it doesn't sit heavy.

What's the difference between Hydre and Dark Oil?
Hydre is a wash-and-care moisture routine for hair that feels dry and rough. Dark Oil is mainly about shine, smoothness and scent, built around the Styling Oil. They pair well: Hydre in the shower, a pump of Dark Oil through damp lengths before drying.
