The legendary Shaper hairspray range. From Reshaper's flexible all-day hold to Fierce's max styling control, Sebastian's hairsprays are an industry standard for editorial, bridal and everyday styling.
Which Sebastian hairspray should I choose?
Shaper Zero Gravity is the light hold. It's soft, touchable and brushable, good for everyday styles and fine hair. Re-Shaper is the strong hold for updos, curls that need to last all day, or windy days. Fierce is the maximum hold, for sculpted styles and editorial work. Our Sebastian hairspray guide compares all three.
Is Sebastian Zero Gravity hairspray good for fine hair?
Yes, that's who it suits best. It holds the shape without making fine hair feel stiff or heavy, and you can brush through it. Spray from about 30cm away so it lands as a light mist, and build up in layers rather than one heavy spray. For extra lift, spray a little at the roots before you dry.
Can I brush through Sebastian Re-Shaper?
Re-Shaper is a strong hold, so it feels firmer than Zero Gravity. Gentle smoothing with a soft brush or your fingers is fine once it's set, but heavy brushing will break the hold. For a style you want to keep reworking, use Zero Gravity. It's the one we reach for most for bridal and event hair at the salon in Wānaka.
What's the Fierce Max Hold spray used for?
Fierce is a hold-and-mould spray for styles that need serious control, such as sleek updos, structured texture or short hair that needs to stay in place. Spray it on, shape with your fingers or a brush, and it locks. It's stronger than most people need for everyday styling, so start with Zero Gravity or Re-Shaper.
How do I wash out strong hairspray?
Shampoo twice. The first wash breaks up the product, the second actually cleans. Brushing your dry hair gently before getting in the shower helps loosen a heavy hold. If you use hairspray every day, a clarifying wash once a week keeps build-up from dulling your hair.
