How do I use the Wella Ultimate Smooth range?
Wash with the Ultimate Smooth Shampoo and follow with the Conditioner through the lengths every wash. Swap the conditioner for the Mask once a week, or more often in a dry winter, and give it a few minutes before rinsing. On damp hair, work a pump of the Miracle Oil Serum through mid-lengths and ends before you blow-dry, then a touch more on dry ends if flyaways pop up.

Is the Ultimate Smooth oil a serum or an oil?
Wella calls it the Miracle Oil Serum, and it sits between the two. It has the slip of an oil but feels lighter, so it works on damp hair before drying or on dry hair to finish. Start with less than you think, especially on fine hair, and keep it off the roots. The 30ml size is handy for travel or to test it before buying the full bottle.

What's the difference between Ultimate Smooth and Ultimate Repair?
Ultimate Smooth is for frizz and hair that won't sit flat; it's about control and softness. Wella Ultimate Repair is for damage from colour, bleach and heat, where the hair feels weak or snaps. If your hair is frizzy because it's damaged, start with Repair. If it's in decent condition but puffs up in humidity or after drying, Smooth is the better fit.

Does Ultimate Smooth suit fine hair?
It can, with a lighter hand. Use the shampoo and conditioner as normal but skip the mask on the roots and keep the Miracle Oil Serum to the very ends. Fine hair that frizzes often does best with conditioner only and a few drops of oil after drying. Thick, coarse or curly hair can usually take the full routine including the weekly mask.

Will Ultimate Smooth help hair stay smooth after a smoothing treatment?
That's one of the main reasons we sell it at UKIYO. After a smoothing service, a gentle wash and regular conditioning help the result last, and the mask keeps lengths soft between visits.
