Book a free 15-minute consultation before your appointment. We'll assess your hair history, condition, and goals to confirm you're a good candidate for the treatment and recommend any pre-treatment care.

In-salon treatment
The full service takes 2.5 to 3 hours depending on your hair length and density. We start with a deep clarifying cleanse, then apply the smoothing solution section-by-section. Your stylist will seal the treatment with a precise blow-dry and finish.

Walk out polished
You'll leave the salon with hair that's already noticeably smoother, shinier and more manageable. The full result settles in over the next 48–72 hours.

Aftercare at home
Use a sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner for the first 72 hours, then continue with a colour-safe routine. We'll send you home with a curated aftercare kit and recommendations to maximise your result.

How long does the treatment take?
2 to 3 hours depending on your hair length and density. Plan for a relaxing afternoon — there's wifi, refreshments and a full beverage menu.
How long do the results last?
Up to 12 weeks for most clients. Some experience even longer results depending on hair type, frequency of washing, and aftercare routine. We'll give you a personalised maintenance plan.
Will it make my hair completely straight?
No — and that's the point. Unlike older keratin treatments, the Wella system softens and smooths without removing your natural texture. Curls become looser and more defined. Waves become softer. Straight hair stays straight, just sleeker.
Can I get my colour done at the same time?
We recommend booking your colour service first, then the smoothing treatment 2 weeks later. This gives your colour time to settle and ensures the best result for both. Talk to us at consultation about timing.
Is it safe? What's in it?
The Wella Smoothing Treatment uses a formaldehyde-free formula based on glyoxylic acid and Wella's professional Ultimate Smooth technology. Your stylist checks your hair and scalp at the consultation first, and will tell you if it isn't the right service for you.
What aftercare do I need?
For 72 hours after the treatment: no washing, no tying back, no clipping. After that, switch to a sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner — we'll send you home with a starter kit and recommendations. Avoid chlorine and salt water for the first week.
