What does decalcifying mean in Kérastase Première?
Kérastase says calcium from hard water builds up on hair and makes it dull, rough and more likely to break. Première is designed to lift that calcium and repair the hair fibre. It's worth considering if you live with hard water and your hair feels coated. We look at the local water in hard water and your hair in Central Otago.

What order do I use the Première products in?
Use the Concentré Décalcifiant Ultra-Réparateur first as a pre-shampoo treatment, as often as the pack directs. Then wash with Bain Décalcifiant Réparateur and condition with Fondant Fluidité. Swap in the Masque Filler Réparateur once a week. Finish with Sérum Filler Fondamental or Huile Gloss Réparatrice on damp or dry lengths.

Is Kérastase Première a bond repair treatment?
Kérastase positions Première as a repair range for damaged, over-processed hair, so it sits alongside the bond-repair options. The decalcifying step is what sets it apart. We compare it with Wellaplex and Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate in bond-building treatments compared.

Can I try Première before buying full sizes?
Yes. The Première Travel Duo comes in two 30ml sizes, and there's also a version with an 80ml shampoo plus 30ml conditioner. The Fondant Fluidité Réparateur comes in a 30ml travel size too. Two or three washes are usually enough to tell if you like how it feels and smells.

Will Première weigh down fine hair?
The Fondant Fluidité is light, so most fine hair copes with it fine. Keep the Masque Filler to once a week and only put it on mid-lengths and ends. If your fine hair still feels heavy, use the serum on your ends and skip the mask.
