Sebastian Dark Oil: Which One Is Right for Your Hair
The Dark Oil name started with one cult oil, but it has grown into a whole Smooth & Shine range. If you've only ever used the original, here's what the rest of the line actually does, and how to pick.
Dark Oil Styling Oil
The lightweight finishing oil most people mean when they say "Dark Oil". A few drops through damp or dry hair for shine, slip and frizz control without any greasy residue.
Smooth & Shine Shampoo, Conditioner and Mask
The wash-day version of that same smoothing effect. Good for coarse, dry or frizz-prone hair that goes fluffy in humidity. The mask is the weekly deep treat.
Silkening Hair Mist and Taming Elixir Serum
The Hair Mist is a light, spray-through shine and detangle. The Taming Elixir Serum is the heavier hitter for thick, unruly hair that needs more taming.
So which one?
Fine hair tends to like the oil or the mist. Thick or coarse hair gets the most out of the serum and the mask. If frizz is your main thing, the shampoo and conditioner do the groundwork and the oil finishes it off. See the full Dark Oil range →
